STALEY, Walter "LeRoy" - 1944 - 2018 Sick of reading obituaries, noting others' courageous battles with death, Walter (LeRoy) Staley wanted it known that he died with his boots on, stubborn, refusing doctor's orders and raising hell for more than seven decades. He lived every minute the way he wanted. He loved fishing, his family, his dear friends and his two cats. He won't be missed by the fish. Leaving behind a wonderful partner in life, Elaine, a son, Scott, (Cindy), grandchildren, Ryan (Aylisha), Paul (Christine), Greg (Kaitlyn), daughter, Sandra (Rick), grandchildren, Andrea (Kody), Richard (Cara), first wife, Jean, honorary daughter, Leanne and her two amazing sons, Dallas and Lucan and a honorary son, Jeff (Kris) and far too many friends to count. Survived by a much loved brother, Dennis. We're sure LeRoy is enjoying his fishing date in heaven, that officially began on Wednesday, April 4th, 2018. Family wants to express very sincere thanks to Dr. Chowdhury, (LeRoy was very fond of him!), staff at TDMH and Ostrander's. LeRoy took family/friends off guard and left us quicker than expected and didn't want a formal service. His last wishes will be expressed in another way, "LeRoy" style.
