HOOPER, John "Jack" Lorrie - Passed away peacefully in his 81st year, at home surrounded by his loving family following a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, November 7th, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Carolyn "Carol" A. Hooper (nee Shane) (2012). Survived by his children Diane Roberts (Mary-Anne), Christopher (Jackie) and Paul (Caitlin). Treasured grandfather of Lindsay, Madeleine, William, Simon, Sydney, Spencer, Elliott and Frances, and great-grandfather of Nolan and Eva. Survived by his sister Patricia (Rick) Roi. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his infant son Mark, brothers Ronald (2013) and Larry (2013). Jack was a longtime employee with Bell Canada, a member of College Avenue United Church, and a member of the Mercer Wilson Masonic Lodge #678, Woodstock. Friends may visit with the family at the BROCK & VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Friday November 10th 2017 from 6 - 8 pm. A memorial service will be held at College Avenue United Church, 22 Wilson Street Woodstock, on Saturday November 11th, 2017 at 1:00 pm, followed by a light reception. Cremation has taken place, and a private interment being held at a later date. If desired, contributions to the Alzheimer's Society, Oxford County Branch, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
