BEATTIE, Doreen - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at VON Sakura House on Thursday, January 18, 2017 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of Robert "Bob" Beattie of Woodstock. Loving mother of Meredith Smith (Andrew) of London and Brennan Beattie (Amy) of Woodstock. Proud grandmother of Joshua, Rebecca, Ben, and Max. Fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Jack Beattie (Louise) of Brantford. Predeceased by her parents James and Sarah (nee Knights) Young and her brother and sister-in-law James Young (Olga). The family will receive friends at St. David's United Church, 190 Springbank Avenue, North, Woodstock on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 11 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Jane Van Patter. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to VON Sakura House through the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock, 519-537-3611.
