NORCROSS, Alan Gregory - Passed away peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital June 10 2015 at the age of 76. Loving husband of Muriel Norcross (nee Neufeld). He was father of three sons: Gary (predeceased), Kevin Curtis-Norcross (wife Sylvia) and Scott (wife Tara Harris). Brother of Brian and Ken. Proud grandfather of Andrew Lipcsik, Alexander Harris and Lilly Curtis-Norcross. Son of the late Grant and Marjorie Norcross. Born in Montreal, August 21, 1938 Graduated from Sir George Williams University, Montreal in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts. Married Muriel in 1961 and started their life journey together. He began teaching in Alexandria, Ontario, continuing in Toronto and Calgary before settling down in Woodstock where he taught at College Avenue Secondary School for over twenty years. Along the way they raised 3 boys. He loved road trips, with the eye of a geographer, around Southern Ontario and the USA, while on summer vacation with his family. He was a member of the Woodstock Field Naturalists and along with Muriel enjoyed walks and birding. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public service. The family would like to thank the caring staff in the Critical Care and Palliative Care Units at the Woodstock General Hospital.
