A 'True' Gentleman

Set sail "across the pond" from N. Ireland in 1956 for a new world called the Dominion of Canada. Knowing nary a soul nor employ, set about establishing same in Toronto. Once domicile and employ sorted, sent for his life-long loving wife and family. May Reba 'Mollie' 1929-2014 landed April 1957 with son Adrian and baby daughter Janice, at Quebec City.

Many milestones later from being a bread salesman, National manufacturer sales manager before moving to Woodstock in 1977 to co-found Gorwood Automotive.

Enjoyed meeting old friends and making new ones throughout his years. Demonstrated by actions the ideals of the Masonic Order spanning seven decades. The list goes on, Dad cherished 'Hugs' with one and all with quick wit and humour brightening many a day.

Dad was apt to quote his father's adage:

"More flowers on the pathways of life, less on the grave at the end of the strife"

In celebration of this kind man's life, please scatter flowers on the paths of those you hold dear....and as chance permits, embrace them with a grand Hug.

Funeral service and burial will take place at St. John's Anglican Church, Eastwood Ontario, on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
