Passed away peacefully with the love of family by her side on Thursday December 22, 2022, at Sakura House in her in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late James Rutherford (1983). Loved mother of Rodney (Annette) Rutherford, Brenda (Terry) Morrison, Sarah Rutherford, and Thomas (Peggy) Rutherford. Cherished grandmother of Rahel, Drew, Erin, Elliott, Heather, Derek, Taylor, Brandon, Jamie, Cody, Wayne and Courtney and great- grandmother of Amica, Kali, Rayven, Mitchell and will always be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Irene leaves behind her sister Judith and is predeceased by her parents Henry David and Katherine (Gordon) Gabert, her sisters Florence, Penny, and Linda and her grandson Tommy (2019). A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
