Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care, Courtland, on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late George Fraser (2008). Loving stepmother of Susan (Del) Campbell, and devoted mother of Gary (Debbie) Fraser, Janice (Terry) Mattson, Donna (David) Fraser, and Alexander (Leslie) Fraser. Cherished grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 12. Predeceased by her brothers, Alvin and Tom Douglas. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her best friend Phyllis Perrault. Joyce joined the Royal Canadian Legion in 1980 and was an avid member of the Southgate Seniors Centre for over 30 years. She spent much of her time in her vegetable gardens and would spend hours canning her vegetables. Joyce was an amazing bridge player and she enjoyed teaching it as well. She loved reading a good book, and for decades she would knit her own blankets and then would donate them to the local churches. Her amazingly positive energy and smile will be greatly missed. Friends are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004), On Friday, June 17, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m. with the funeral service taking place in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with a private family burial at Oxford Memorial Park at a later date.
