Passed away at Woodstock Hospital on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in his 76th year. Dear partner to Sandra McDowell. Loving father of Chad (Erica) Remington, Jennifer (Jason) Sillick, and Angela (Jamie) Remington-Zehr. Proud grandfather of Holden, Taylor, Dallas, Kayla, Ben, and Jacob, and great-grandfather of Julian. Cherished brother of Marion Gillespie, Karen "Kay" (Jack) Love, Bill (Susan) Remington, Brenda (Clare) Smith, Rosemary Praught, and Janice "Jan" (Tom) Strickler, and brother-in-law to Carolyn Remington. Predeceased by his brother Larry Remington and brothers-in-law Bill Gillespie and Brendon Praught. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. The family is kindly requesting that all attendees wear a mask while in the funeral home.
