HUNTER, Brian James Dedrick

November 2, 1978 - September 6, 2021

It is with great sadness that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved son, spouse, father, stepbrother, and friend to many, Brian James Dedrick Hunter, on Monday, September 6, 2021, at the age of 42. Born in Dunnville, to his much-loved mother Brenda Hunter, of London and to his late father David Wilcox (2000). Brian will be remembered by everyone that knew him- there wasn't a story to be told about Brian without a happy, funny ending. Brian was an affiliate member of Trumpet of Truth Church, Woodstock. For 15 years, Brian was a dedicated employee with Otter Valley Foods, Tillsonburg and with Toyotetsu Canada Inc., Simcoe for 5 years. Brian is survived by his spouse and long-time friend, Kathleen (Heppenheimer) Hunter, London. Lovingly remembered as a caring father and stepfather to Hailey Heppenheimer, Lindsey Kirr, Caleb Hunter, and Brooklyn Hunter. Caring grandfather to Tyson Kirr and Amari Hunter. Also survived by two stepsisters Hope and Paige.

In keeping with Brian's expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Brian's Life and Legacy will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes - Burial and Cremation Service Inc., 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg by Pastor Rene McIntyre, of Trumpet of Truth Christian Ministries, Woodstock. All who knew Brian are invited to attend a public visitation on Saturday, from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Tillsonburg. To RSVP, please visit Brian's online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the funeral home (519-842-4238) between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. All attendees are required to wear a face covering and are asked to always maintain social distancing guidelines. All who knew Brian are encouraged to offer their support and care by posting photos, by sharing special memories and by contributing memorial donations to the "Trumpet of Truth Christian Ministries" (Re: The Refuge) on Brian's online tribute page or by contacting the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes, Tillsonburg, which has been entrusted with all arrangements, with confidence.
