Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth. Psalm 71:9

To our deep sorrow, it has pleased the Lord to take out of our midst our beloved husband, our dear father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and brother-in-law, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Dorothy Van Lagen (Nee Jansen) of Norwich. Dear father of Harry and his wife Riena of Burgessville, Reny and his wife Petra of Norwich, Joanne Ackert and her husband Paul of Norwich, Janet Keatings and her husband Rick of Norwich, Dave and his wife Pia of Norwich, Marlene Van Wyk and her husband Edward of Burgessville, and Andrea Monster and her husband Hugo of Tillsonburg. Dear grandfather of 28 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a granddaughter (1991), sister Ada (1947), and brother Arjan (2008). Family and friends will be received at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 45 Main Street East, Norwich, Ontario, on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. D.V. Reverend E. Hakvoort to officiate. You can listen along via www.nrcchurch.c/live. Interment to follow at C. G. Walker (Quaker Street) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethany Care Home-Norwich.
