MORRISON, Elwood Lewis

Passed away peacefully at his home in Vienna on Thursday May 13, 2021 with the love of family by his side. He was in his 86th year. Elwood was born March 22, 1936 in River John Nova, Scotia to the late Charles Lewis and Ella Mae (Logan) Morrison. He was the youngest of eight children. Elwood had an unwavering love for Jesus Christ his Saviour. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Marion Louise Morrison (nee Crawford). Sister Bertha Helen (Nathan) Bigney. Brother Charles Earl (Barbara) Morrison. Sisters- in-law Eleanor (Bruce) Raymer, Elizabeth (Barry) Raymer, brother-in-law Edward (Susan) Crawford. Dear to his heart many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Jean Kathleen (Glen) Woodworth, Florence Marie (Art) Harvey, Beatrice Irene (Clinton Werner) (Frank) Potter, brothers Jack Sterling (Gerry) Morrison and James Arnold Morrison. Father-in-law Wilbert and mother-in-law Margaret (Doberitsch) Crawford. Elwood owned Morrison Body Shop and the Woodstock, Brantford and Kitchener Ziebart. He was the Vice President of Marketing and Sales of Ziebart Canada. Elwood and Marion enjoyed working on their hobby farm along with many winter trips to Florida. Elwood also had a love for show horses and dogs. Elwood graduated from Thames Valley Bible College in Woodstock Ontario. He did love to preach the word of God. He pastored in the Muskoka region before Calton Baptist Church for eight years. There will be a private graveside service in Ratho, Ontario on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Ratho Cemetery, Emmanuel Bible Church, or a charity of one's choice and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004.
