July 24, 1944 - January 24, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ethel Fordyce (Laird) of Woodstock and Aberdeen, Scotland. Ethel is predeceased by her husband Brian Hughes and her sister Sheila Irvine (Dennis).

She will be sorely missed by her children George and Louise, grand children Cleo and Ty and her brother James Laird (Gail). Remembered with deep love by her nieces and nephews Dawn (David) , Dennis (Trish) , Fiona (Kevin) and Jamie (Rachel).

Ethel was a beloved Great Aunt to Sedona , Kayleigh , Cameron (Shauna) ,Shaun , Daniel , Sadie and Ewan and a Great-Great Aunt to Hudson.

She will be fondly remembered and terribly missed by Terry Hallgren and Stella Liwanpo.

She was a regular and enthusiastic member of the Southgate centre , where her many friends will agree that things won't be the same without her.

Having lived in both Woodstock and Scotland, she leaves behind many friends who will mourn her loss.

A family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers , donations can be made to the Southgate centre, the ALS or Alzheimer's societies in her memory.
