It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ruth Lulu (Doering) Little, age 83, in the comfort of her home in Ingersoll on Wednesday January 6, 2021. Ruth was born on the family farm in Wilmot Township, daughter of the late Alma (Hohl) and Nelson Doering. She was raised in a large, loving family who enjoyed singing and playing piano. Always the hardworking and enthusiastic student, she went on to graduate from St. Mary's Nursing College. On November 8, 1958 she married C.A. Stuart Little and they recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Ruth worked as a nurse at the Oxford Regional Nursing Home in Ingersoll for 19 years, retiring in 1994. Her faith in God brought her comfort and strength from an early age. Ruth was a long-time member of St. James Anglican Church in Ingersoll. Ruth truly loved her family, the time spent together on her parent's farm, at Doering family reunions and loved summers surrounded by her family at their Kenogami Lake cottage. She was a constant source of love and support to her daughters Anne Marie (Tim) Pauli, Nancy (Pat) Johnston and Susan (Brad) Lake. Devoted grandmother to Sarah Johnston (Mike Korevaar), David Johnston (Melissa McIntyre), Nick Pauli, Alex Lake, Jordan Lake (Lindsay Donovan), and all the grand pets. Ruth is survived by her siblings, June Schmidt, David Doering, Lila Ramseyer, James Doering, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lesia and John Graham Little. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Jane Mohr, sisters-in-law Marlene Doering, Ruby Doering and Anna Lou Little, brothers-in-law Orval Mohr, Ken Schmidt and Robert Ramseyer. Friends and family will always remember Ruth for her kind, caring and generous spirit. Memorial Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society and St. James Anglican Church. A special thank you to Dr. Krema, Dr. Butler, the nurses at Princess Margaret hospital in Toronto, the PSW's of Community Care Partners, Nurses of Saint Elizabeth and the Community Paramedics. A special thank you to the Palliative Care Coordinator, Marlene Franklin for the compassionate care she gave Ruth and her family. A small private family service will take place at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home in Ingersoll at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 13, 2021. There will be a live stream on Facebook as well as a recorded version. Condolences may be posted at www.mcbeathdynes.ca
