BLAND, Dr. S. Scott - Of Guelph, formerly of Ingersoll passed away at Guelph General Hospital on Saturday, September 19, 2015, in his 96th year. Beloved husband of 52 years to Lenore (Wilson). Loved father of Sandra Taylor (Harold), Sharon McIntosh, Patricia Hollinger (David), John Bland (Mary Lou). Loved grandfather of eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Jean Stewart, his parents Harry Stanley & Edna May Smith, and a sister H. Dena Roberts. Scott was a practitioner of medicine for 42 years. Scott served in World War II in Canada, England and Europe. He was a member of the Guelph Wellington Men's Club. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL , 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Wednesday from 7 - 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral service will be held at Dublin Street United Church, 68 Suffolk St. W. Guelph on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. Transfer will be made to McBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME , 246 Thames St. S., Ingersoll for a visitation on Saturday, September 26 from 1 - 3 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Harris Street Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the CNIB or Crohn's & Colitis Canada would be appreciated
