DEAN, John James - Passed away in his 100th year at the Woodingford Lodge Woodstock on Wednesday June 4, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife Marion Elizabeth Dean (nee Jackson) in 2003 and by his brothers Ernie, Carl, Tom, Laurie, Bob, Charley and his sister Catharine. Survived by his sons Ken and Murray (Natasha), step-grandsons Monte (Leanne), Marty and his brothers, Basil (Edna) of Woodstock, Norman of St. Catherines and sister Shirley of New Bruinswick. He was born in Dean Settlement, Middle Musquodoboit to Annie and James Dean on May 29th, 1915. He served his country in W.W.II with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders (1939-1945). He was a D-Day Veteran. He was a devoted husband and the best dad one could ask for. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Friday June 6, 2014 from 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday June 7, 2014 at 3:00 pm.
