On Thursday, September 24, at Delhi Long Term Care Centre, surrounded by the love of his family, Gordon Edward Elson, 84 of Ingersoll, peacefully passed away. Loving husband of the late Joyce (Swan). Dad (Pop) to David (Dawn) Elson, Laura (Lorenzo) Ladouceur, and Pamela Elson (Damon). Grandfather of 10 and Great Grandfather of 19. Brother of Charles Elson (the late Marg) and Sister Judy. Brother-in-law to Bill & Kathy Swan, Jim & Joanne Swan and Bill Delaney. Best friend, mentor, and friend to Andy Young. Predeceased by his Granddaughter Rose Ladouceur. Brother Lloyd Elson, Sisters-in-law Anne Delaney, and Barb Glysz. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Gord was a champion fiddle player, and he loved to share his joy of music with everyone, especially with the many students of whom he taught over the years. We would like to thank the wonderful staff and residents at Delhi Long Term Care Centre where he called home for the past year and a half. You were and are the best. A private family service has taken place. A Memorial Jamboree will be held at a future date, when conditions allow.
