Wilfrid Bruce Woodford of Norwich, Ontario was born on January 9, 1953 in Owen Sound, Ontario and fell asleep in Jesus on January 27, 2020 in his 68th year after a battle with cancer.
Bruce is predeceased by his parents, Wilfrid Stanley and Annie Evans Woodford, as well as by his sister, Elizabeth Ann Woodford and brother, David Dodds Woodford.
Bruce is survived by his dear wife of over 44 years, Judy Woodford; 5 children and their spouses: Tim and Stephanie Woodford, Mark and Rebekah Woodford, Rob and Ada Woodford, Joia and Philip Dooley, Andrew and Bethany Woodford; 18 grandchildren: Marika, Shaelyn, Kyla, Vivian, Alisa, Nathaniel, Gwendalyn, Brayden, Joshua, Galina, Olivia, Keenan, Moriah, Caleb, Lydia; 2 sisters and their spouses: Nora and Jim West, Heather and John Okrafka; and 1 sister-in-law, Valerie Woodford.
Since 1985 Bruce operated a sharpening service, providing sharpening for a wide variety of tools and bread slicer machines. Bruce served both the local community as well as clients all across south-western Ontario. Prior to this, Bruce operated forklifts at Camco in Orangeville (1979-85); served as a church planting missionary with Berean Mission in Dominica, West Indies (1976-78); and served as pastoral intern at Central Baptist Church in London, Ontario (1974-75).
Bruce and Judy have enjoyed the fellowship of other believers while gathering in different contexts for many years. His Celebration of Life took place on January 30, 2020 at the Norwich Community Centre. He was much loved and is surely missed by his family and friends. To God be the Glory!!!
