It is with complete heartbreak and sadness that the family of John Grygorcewicz announce his passing after a short and courageous battle with cancer. John was surrounded by his family when he passed on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the age of 60. John was a loving and devoted husband who will be forever loved and missed by his wife and best friend Denise (nee Izzard), together for 35 years and taken from us all in 35 short days. John was a very proud Dad of his children Steve Grygorcewicz and wife Megan and Stef Eygenraam and husband Kevin. Adored Bopa to Owyn and Logan and cherished Papa to Brayden John and Madison who will forever hold Bopa/Papa in their hearts!
Dear son of Jadwiga. John will be forever loved and missed by his siblings Rick and Lynda Izzard, Debbie and Rick Swiech, Dianne and Scott May, Tom Izzard and Sherri Nobel. John is also fondly remembered and will be deeply missed by his 22 nieces and nephews and his 18 great nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his Father Ken, sister Cathy Izzard and brother in law Doug de Montmorency. John was loved by all who knew him and will also be dearly missed by his many friends, neighbours and colleagues.
John was well known for his deep love and commitment to his family. He was also known for his wonderful sense of humour, his love and extensive knowledge of music and his great talent and ability to fix anything and everything. John also had a very rewarding and successful 31 year career in the trucking industry ending his career at JBT Transport. John's wife and children often went with him on his trips over the years, leading to his son Steve following in his footsteps. John will forever live on in spirit on the highway with Steve as his ashes will travel everywhere with him in the compass necklace that will hang in his truck as he continues with his trucking career across Canada and the U.S. John will also live on in his "little" girls heart as Stef will carry his ashes around her neck in her necklace, "No Longer By My Side, Forever In My Heart".
The family would like to thank all the nurses from LHIN, paramedics and extra special thanks to all the staff at VON Sakura House, for keeping John comfortable and pain free, including Dr. Orchard, Dr. Fryer, Anne Marie, Janine, Annie, Kate, Lori & Christine. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Donations can be made in John's memory to VON Sakura House.
