It is with immense sadness that we announce that a gentleman has passed. James (Jim) Bowman passed away on Friday May 24, 2019 at Sakura House, Woodstock.

"A gentleman is one who puts more into the world than he takes out." George Bernard Shaw

The following words best describe Jim: kind, considerate, honest, genuine, respectful, and a natural conversationalist (affectionately known as "captain conversation"). Family was his top priority.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia Bowman. Loving father of five children: Julie Gibbons (Steve), Jeff Bowman (Chris), Bill Bowman (Jenny), Tracy Hulet, and Jim Jr. Bowman. Loving Poppa of 10 grandchildren: Matthew, Benjamin, Sarah, Josh, Sam, Maggie, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Ryan and Cody. Loving Poppa of 6 great-grandchildren: Claire, Thomas, Quinten, Sullivan, Alistair, and Robert.

Jim was a life-long resident of Woodstock. A longtime employee at Commercial Print-Craft Ltd., and in retirement drove the courtesy shuttle van for Anderson's Auto Group. Jim was a member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association. He loved camping and travelling, and cheering on his favourite sports teams - the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Black Hawks, and the London Knights.
