annah Margaret Chambers, formerly of Tavistock passed away peacefully at Cedarcroft Retirement Home in Stratford in her 94th year on May 26, 2019. She was born on October 20th, 1925 a daughter of the late Warren Barter Howe and the former Ida Margaret "Edith" Schneider. She is the loving mother to Sharon Blaney (Bill) of Brantford and Glen Chambers (Dianne) of Embro; loving grandmother to Lyndon Blaney (Taunya), Brandon Blaney, Jolene Seip (Trevor), Jim Chambers (Melanie), and Justin Chambers (Melanie); great grandmother of nine; sister of Marjorie Howe, Velma Card and Dorothy Lowe; sister-in-law of Norma Howe. Predeceased by her husband William Chambers (2000); two brothers, Harold Howe (1939) Lloyd Howe (2007) and sister, Lorene Bertrand (2012). Hannah was a long time active member of Grace United Church in Tavistock where she had been a member of the U.C.W; a Women's Institute member and a 4-H Leader. She was an amazing seamstress, cook, enjoyed gardening as well as many crafts. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Cedarcroft Retirement Home, Stratford for the loving care given to Hannah as well as to Dr. Amanda Brown and the nursing staff of Tavistock Medical Centre. In respecting Hannah's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Grace United Church, Tavistock on Thursday. The Rev. Mary Stewart will officiate. Interment in North Embro Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated and may be made through the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME, Tavistock by calling 519-655-2431.
