Michel Gerard "Mike" Cattrysse, 87, of Tavistock passed away peacefully at VON Sakura House, Woodstock on Thursday, May 2, 2019.

Mike owned and operated McConnell Nursery and Tavistock Nursery from 1965 until retiring in 2003. He was a member of Tavistock Branch #518 R.C.L. and a member of the Legion Branch Men's Dart League.

He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Jane "Peg" Almon whom he married at Aylmer on December 27, 1955; three daughters, Rosemary and husband Murray Lichti of Tavistock, Darlene Murray of Bright, Paula and husband Calvin Thomson of Belmont; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; his daughter -in-law, Lorie Cattrysse in U.S.A.; his sister-in-law, Elsie Almon in BC.

He was predeceased by two sons, Alfred "Alf" Cattrysse (2006), John Cattrysse (2003); son-in-law, Dave Murray (2019); daughter-in-law, Marcia Cattrysse (2005).

Relatives and friends will be received in the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 1 p.m. Interment in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. Reception following.
