WHITEHEAD, Lillian May "Tillie" (Case) - Surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, November 16, at her residence, Riverview Gardens, Chatham Ontario our precious mother peacefully took leave of her earthly life. She was born on June 13, 1924 to the late Frank and Effie Corbett (Cucksey) in Ingersoll, Ontario. Loving Mother of Verna (Ivan) Cope, Ronald (Lois), Stephen (Shirley) and David (Donna) Case and Janice Woodend (Deryl Pearson). Adored Grandmother of Bev (Pam) Cope, Krista (David) Fischer, Rodney (Ozelle) Case, Melody (Sean) Lashmar, Michelle (Joe) O’Donohoe, Tanya Moreau (Jerry Sarlis), Jon (Marcy) and J.T. Woodend. Proud Great-Grandmother of 8 and Great-Great-Grandmother of 1. Predeceased by husbands Lloyd Case (1960) and Ross Whitehead (1994). She was the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by siblings Ross and John Corbett and Marie Dawdry. She was the proud owner of the Country Inn Restaurant in Woodstock many years ago and a popular school bus driver for Scott’s Bus Lines of Innerkip. For many years she was also a well- respected coach for Youth bowling of Canada (Woodstock). The family wishes to especially thank Hudson Manor staff and volunteers, Tilbury, and Fifth Floor staff of Riverview Gardens, Chatham, for the compassionate, loving care that they so generously provided over the last five years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. To honour her memory, share a friendly smile or do a kind deed for others as she did her entire life. A celebration of life will be held in Ingersoll on December 2, from 2-4 pm at Trinity United Church, 118 Church Street (Parking lot entrance). A private family inurnment will occur at a later date at Harris Street Cemetery in Ingersoll. Online condolences are welcome at www.lifetransitions.ca - 519-351-4444
