McNUTT, Vickie Ann (nee White) - We are profoundly saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Vickie Ann McNutt (nee White) on January 7, 2018. Vickie will be dearly missed by her daughters Candy Lynn Johnson and Katherine Ann Johnson (David Hales). She was predeceased by her loving husband Ron McNutt (2017). She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Joshua Watterworth, Jessica Watterworth and Riley Hales. She will be dearly missed by her Oregon family, Linda (Larry) Blanton, Connie (Marshall) Johnson, Rebecca (Don) Franke, Vern Robinson (Barbara) as well as many devoted friends. Vickie was born in Bend, Oregon in 1946. In 1973, in Washington State, she married Ron, the love of her life and they immigrated to Canada, settling in Woodstock in the late seventies. They retired to Ingersoll Ontario, and last year they celebrated 44 wonderful years of marriage. Her natural, kind spirit led her to the nursing profession and she graduated as a registered nurse (Fanshawe College) and later worked at both Woodstock General Hospital and a General Practitioner’s Office until her retirement. Vickie was a renaissance woman with interests that varied from the creative to the natural to the adventurous. From skiing the slopes, hiking trails in Sedona camera in hand, beachcombing in Sanibel, or just tending to the abundant peonies in her beautiful gardens, her twinkling spirit always present. The homes of her friends and family all have pieces she lovingly crafted; blankets, sweaters, stained glass, one of her many spectacular photos, and even her chocolate chip cookies. Vickie’s life was filled with music, arts, love and laughter. With an unending curiosity and thirst for knowledge, she loved to travel and explore, and she especially took pleasure if she could share those experiences with others. She had diverse interests, took pride in and was a strong advocate for her community, volunteering at events, and staying current with local, national and international issues and politics. Never one to be idle, over the years she was involved with the Ingersoll Seniors’ Centre, the Board of CMHA, Woodstock Theatre, ITOPA, and Lunch Bunch. Anyone who either knew Vickie well or had just met her for the first time felt her spirit, passion and compassion. Her commitment and dedication to helping others is an inspiration for us all. Though her presence will be missed, her memories will be cherished, and her love will be felt forever. A celebration of her wonderful life will take place at a later date, details to follow. Please send all good wishes and sentiments to McBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME in Ingersoll at www.gffh.ca
