SMITH, Heather Ann - Heather Ann Smith, 63, of Hickson passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Cambridge on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. She was born in Stratford on June 9, 1953 a daughter of Grace (Scrimgeour) Tuer of Stratford and the Donald Tuer. Heather's activities and interests include being an active member of the Hickson Park and Recreation Committee for over twenty years, babysitting and caring for her grandchildren and many other children of the Hickson community, being a member of Hebron United Church and Hebron United Church Women. She is survived by her husband, Brian Alexander Smith, whom she married at Stratford on July 14, 1972; four children, Greg Smith and wife Amy Hart-Smith of Embro, Jason and wife Mirela Smith of Tavistock, Shannon and husband Nathan Doherty of Hickson, Matthew and wife Sarah Smith of Woodstock; five grandchildren, Aralyn, Graedon, Analee, Harper and Halle Smith; her honorary granddaughter, Aria Hart; four sisters, Christine Brooks, Kathy and husband Brian Crapper, Margo and husband Bill Norman, Marilyn and husband Jim Blewett; two brothers, Joe and wife Sally Tuer, Mike and wife Sue Tuer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barry and Debbie Smith, Brad and Val Smith; her mother, Grace Tuer and several nieces, nephews and their families. Relatives and friends will be received in the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME , 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Saturday from 7 - 9 p.m., Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. The Rev. David Duncan will officiate. Interment in Ratho Presbyterian Cemetery. Fellowship following at Hebron United Church. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hickson Parks & Recreation Committee, Ratho Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund or Hebron United Church would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home by calling 519-655-2431
