REIBLING, Dorothy - Dorothy Jean Reibling (Harmer) passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Freeport Hospital after experiencing a stroke on November 8, 2015. She was born in Brantford, ON on September 30, 1929, the daughter of the late Lorne and Vera (Pittock) Harmer. She married LaVerne Ivan Reibling on May 14, 1949. He predeceased her July 11, 2004. Dorothy was an active member of Chesterfield United Church and for the past five years, of Peace United Church in Plattsville. She also was an active Life Member of the Princess Elizabeth Women's Institute. Dorothy moved to the Village Manor, Tavistock after retiring from the farm at RR 1 Bright. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, baking, cooking, playing cards, crokinole and family get-togethers. Dear mother of Keith and Tory Ann of Innerkip, Linda and Gary Bender of Haysville, Mark and Kathy of Washington, Dayle and Dana of RR 1 Bright. She was predeceased by her daughter Judy on July 8, 2013. Loving grandma of Karla and Justin Schroder of Kitchener, Janelle and Todd Moskal of Ingersoll, Leah of Woodstock, Kyle Bender and Sylvie Timm of Ottawa, Tammy and Kevin Gooder of Thorndale, Colin Bender of Kitchener, Chris of London, Alex of Windsor, Delaney and Drake of RR 1 Bright. Special great-grandma to Kaitlyn, Jackson, Mackenna, Denver, Sydney, Braydon, Julien, Jenna, and Kara. Dear sister-in-law of Eleanor and Willard King of Waterloo, Dolores of Elmira. Predeceased by brother Gordon Harmer and his wife Helen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Oliver and Alice Reibling, Stanley and Alda Reibling, Clayton and Marjorie Reibling, Earl and Naomi and Myrtle Reibling, Delton and Ruth Reibling, Lloyd Reibling, Ray Reibling, Dorothy Reibling. Relatives and friends will be received in the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME , 77 Woodstock St. N., Tavistock, on Friday, January 1, 2016 1:30-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Peace United Church, Plattsville. Minister Barb Dawson will officiate. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations made to Peace United Church or the Stratford General Hospital Foundation.
