BURRILL, Kathryn Anne - died suddenly on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the age of 56. Life partner to Craig Rose. Loving daughter of Maureen Burrill-Neuman. Predeceased by her father Harold Burrill and sister Laura Lee (1964). Treasured step-daughter to Margaret Burrill. Loving Step Mother to Shawn Rose (Stephanie) and Amber Rose. Grandmother to Mikey and Sam Rose. Beloved sister of Kelly Thede (Kevin) and Aunt to Shannon Thede (John) and Shawn Thede. Great Aunt of Reanne, Ryan and Lorelei Thede. Deeply loved by Murray and Marilyn Rose, 'sisters in love' Candy (Ewell) Prong and Cara Rose (Tim) Brown, Sue (Mike) Benin, and 'brother-in-love' Carson. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Kathy was a bright, beautiful soul who lived and loved deeply. Her life partner Craig, family and many friends, and especially her grandchildren, were her true joy. She loved spending time at her beloved lakeside cottage with Craig along with many other family and friends, and enjoyed hours of tending to her garden on warm summer days and snowmobiling across the frozen lake in winter. Kathy was also revered in her professional life as a gifted leader, a positive and talented professional, a brilliant mind, a valued colleague and a treasured friend. After graduating from Fanshawe College in 1979, Kathy began her career at St. Joseph's Health Care London as a therapeutic recreation specialist in 1984 at what was then Parkwood Hospital. In 1997, she became Director of Communication & Public Affairs for St. Joseph's Health Care London, taking on the role of Vice President in 2011. Since 2014, Kathy was responsible for mission, communication and public affairs, risk and patient relations, freedom of information and privacy, and volunteer services. She also played a key leadership role in the work with volunteers and staff of the St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation. Through her remarkable 32-year career in healthcare leadership, she left an indelible mark on countless colleagues, community partners, and patients and families. She had a passion and unparalleled talent for writing and storytelling, a gift through which she built countless and long-term relationships in both her personal and professional life. Kathy's own life story ended far too soon. In our hearts she will remain, always. A visitation for friends and family of Kathy will be held on Friday, November 13 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m at McBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME , 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll. A Memorial Service led by Rev. Darrell Shaule will also take place at McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. Personal condolences may be sent at www.gffh.ca. Memorial donations celebrating Kathy's life can be made to The Kathyrn Burrill Memorial Fund at St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation - sjhcfoundation.org
