STEWART, Barbara - Barbara Jean Stewart, age 85, of Stratford passed away peacefully on September 28, 2015. She was born in Stratford, daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen English. Beloved wife of the late Newton Stewart who predeceased her April 19, 2005. Loving mother of Lynda Jones (David) and Doug Stewart (Virginia). Grandmother of Stephanie Kreiger (Steve), Christopher Jones (Andrea), Jeffery Jones (Felise). Great-grandmother of Tyler, Hayley, Ashton, Max, Avery, Naudia, Noah, James and Shaylah. Also surviving is a sister Jean Burger (John), a nephew Jim Murray (Linda) and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Barb was predeceased by her son David Stewart and sisters and brothers Dorothy Murray, Elsie Southgate, Robert, George, Bill, Donald, John and Ernest Murray. Barb had worked at International Art Crafts for 20 years until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church, Stratford. The family would like to thank Care Partners, nurses Rob and Donald and Dr. Karen Fryer for their excellent care this past year. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME , 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, October 2, from 6 - 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Society or to the VON Sakura House through the funeral home. 519-271-7411 www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
