ELLIS, Paul Angus - After a courageous six year battle with cancer, peacefully at home on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Elfrieda (nee Epp) of 49 years. Loving father of Pauline (Remi). Grandfather of Brandon, Kyle (Megan), Ryan and Jason. Great grandfather of Myha and Emma. Also missed by his beloved feline Buster. Predeceased by his parents George and Jean Ellis and by brothers Warren and Peter. Prior to his retirement, Paul was a faithful employee of the Public Service Government of Canada as an Immigration Officer. Member of Model A Car Club Southern Ontario Chapter and avid streetcar fan. Former member of Waterloo North Presbyterian Church. Many thanks to Dr. M. Kilmurry and the nurses on 6th floor at Grand River Hospital. A service of remembrance celebrating Paul's life will be held at ROBERT RUGGLE FUNERAL HOME , 617 King St. N, Waterloo on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Grand River Hospital Foundation-Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519 888-7700.
