RAY, OLA GAY - passed away on October 11, 2014 in Richmond, VA. She was born and raised in Lineville, AL, graduating from the Montevallo U. Her career paths included a chemist for Dupont, a stewardess, a florist, and a teacher in Newfoundland and Woodstock, Ontario for 28 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 44 years, Colonel Claxton Ray, with whom she had four children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her second husband of 16 years, James Brady Walls, after living in Myrtle Beach, SC and moving to Max Meadows, VA where she resided before moving to Richmond. Following a private memorial service, her cremains will be interred in the Cotney family plot in Lineville, Alabama with Claxton and their two sons. Flowers are respectfully declined, but those wishing to honor her memory may make a donation to the Max Meadows United Methodist Church, 738 Major Grahams Rd., Max Meadows, VA 24360, where she was a member.
