NUTT, Douglas Albert – On Thursday, October 23rd, after a nice walk in the sun and leaves, Doug sat down for a cup of coffee with his wife and quietly slipped away. At age 69 he had courageously confronted many health problems, and managed to do his best each day to share his love with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his best friend, and soul mate, Nancy as well as his children Rachael Fleming (Derrick) and Paul (Kathleen). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Amelia, Chloe, Brynn, Jonathon and Kevin. Predeceased by granddaughter Erin this September. Doug’s father-in-law, Alfred Smart, will also miss him greatly. He will also be missed by friends, neighbours and fellow hobbyists. Doug loved and cherished his family and friends. He saw the beauty and intricacy in all things. As an avid outdoorsman he always hoped he would be well enough to get back into camping, fishing and boating. Now his adventurous spirit can be free to explore the wonders of the afterlife. Visitation will be Monday, October 27 from 10-11 am at the Church of the Epiphany, 560 Dundas St., Woodstock with a service to celebrate Doug’s life to follow at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Stephen Hendry. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation or charity of choice. SMITH-LeROY 519-537-3611. Personal condolences may be sent to www.smithleroy.com
