GOULD, Marion Costin (nee Tennant) - April 22, 1923 – Blandford Township, Ontario January 3, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta - Marion beloved wife of Dr. George Gould of Calgary, AB, passed away on January 3, 2015 at the age of 91 years. Marion was born on April 22, 1923 to Laura Eliza (nee Costin) and Clarence Woodsworth Tennant. She graduated from Bonds Corners Public School and Woodstock Collegiate Institute, and completed her RN Training at Woodstock General Hospital. She and George met while members of Bonds Corners – United Farmers’ Young People’s Association. Upon George’s return from RAF service in WWII, they were married in 1945 at Old St. Paul’s Church, Woodstock, Ontario. She left her nursing career to raise her family. She affectionately watched her family grow, and enjoyed curling, bridge and traveling. In 1975 on moving to Calgary the “Happy Hour Gang” formed - good friends who socialized weekly for many years. We all loved watching Marion and George dance, and will forever remember her beautiful smile. Marion was active and enjoyed good health until struck with Dementia. Marion is survived by her loving husband, George; her children, Jim (Wendy), Bob, Barb (Ken) McKellar, Suze Casey, and Paul (Erica Skopac); her beloved grandchildren Graham, Keith, Cheryl (Pachal) and Lyla; and great grandchildren Charlotte and Evelyn; and her sister, Margaret (Burns). She was predeceased by her brothers, Douglas and Jack; and sisters Clare (Ross) and Laura Jean (Gillespie). A Private Celebration for Friends and Family will be held at a later date.
