METHERELL, Jack - Jack Metherell of Woodstock, Ontario passed away peacefully, in his 96th year, at the VON Sakura House on Friday February 7, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Sophie (nee Sobeski) Metherell (1979), and brother of the late Edward Metherell and Stella Hodgkins. Cherished father of Dorothy Geall and her husband Wayne, Brenda Metherell and her husband Zahir Kazmi; and son Dennis Metherell. Loved grandfather of Jacqueline Geall and husband Clay Seabrook, Margaret "Peggy" Geall and husband James Hill; and great grandfather of Tucker and Sam Seabrook. Jack also leaves behind his brother-in-law Henry Sobeski and wife Angie as well as many nieces and nephews. Jack was a WWII RCAF veteran, a past member of the Craigowan Golf and Country Club and member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Woodstock. He served as a director of the Woodstock Figure Skating Club and was a past member of The Woodstock Curling Club where his big highlight was winning the Parkes Trophy.
