RING, Brian - born in Leeds, North Yorkshire, and most recently of Woodstock, went to be with God and his beloved wife of 54 years, Mary; on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Woodstock ,ON. He is survived by his son Dean, daughter-in-law Diane, grandson Patrick and his son Rory, partner Michelle and grandsons Devon and Simon. Brian's career as a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) engaged him in hydro-electric power production projects around the globe. He was a committed Christian and was read widely and deeply in theology. Brian also expressed his deep faith as Bandmaster of the Earlscourt Citadel Band until his retirement. His interests ranged from music to woodworking, to mastering Thai cooking. Brian adored his wife Mary, and his family was most treasured to him. A private family funeral will be held at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington Street, North, Woodstock, ON, and a Celebration of Life Service will take place at the Woodstock Salvation Army Community Church at a date to be announced.
