JOHNSON, Bob - The Johnson Family is very saddened to announce the passing of their Patriarch on January 24th. Bob was known for his passion for sports and was active throughout his whole life both playing and coaching a variety of sports. In his early years his first love was hockey and excelled to the point of goaltending for the Preston Pals. Next was his love of skiing and coached downhill racing for 40 years in Woodstock and Chicopee. He was a very dedicated coach and was great in keeping in touch with many of his students. Later in life he took on lawn bowling. Once Bob chose a sport he gave it his best and elevated his game to representing Newfoundland in the Canadian Championships. Dad spent his last 10 years in Grand Bank Newfoundland. Living on the ocean, his new sport was sea kayaking. The best part of his life in Newfoundland was meeting Bessie Crant and marrying her in Sept 23, 2010. His children and grandchildren will never forget the dedication he showed to all of their activities. You would always find him at the arena, ball diamonds and soccer fields. He was always their #1 fan. Bob was predeceased by his parents Bertram and Cora. He will be dearly missed by wife Bessie, children Jenny (Rob), Rob (Lorraine), grandchildren Liam, Ella, Terran, Rowan. Brother Brad (Judy) and sister Doris (Sewell). Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home Grand bank
