SMITH, Beatrice "Marion" Helen - 87, formerly of Hickson passed away in the PeopleCare Health Care Centre, Tavistock on Thursday, January 23, 2014. She was born in East Zorra Township, Oxford County on May 30, 1926 a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Langdon) Killing. She was a member of the Hebron United Church and a lifelong member of Hebron United Church Women. She was "Grandma Smith" to many children in her home community of Hickson. She loved to quilt and her family have many of her treasures. She enjoyed baking, decorating wedding cakes and birthday cakes and was a sports enthusiast who was ever optimistic of a championship of her teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Blue Jays and local Hickson teams. She was the loving wife of Donald Smith whom she married at Hickson on June 23, 1948. He predeceased her in August 4, 2003. Marion is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Heather Smith, Barry and Debbie Smith, Brad and Valerie Smith, all of Hickson; nine grandchildren, Greg and wife Amy Hart-Smith, Jason and wife Mirela Smith, Shannon and husband Nathan Doherty, Matthew and wife Sarah Smith, Trevor Smith and wife Allison Fisher, Kyle and wife Candice Smith, Caitlin Smith, Samantha and husband Matt Richardson, Nicole Smith and friend Kevin Mills; five great grandchildren Aralyn and Graedon Smith, Reid and Evan Smith, Kynslee Richardson; her sister, Lucy McLaren; her sister-in-law, Barbara Killing; her brother-in-law, Ross Smith and many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Gordon MacDonald, Freda and Mervin Zehr; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Hazel Killing, John and Ruby Killing, Fred Killing, Russell Killing, Ted Killing; brother-in-law Reg McLaren; sister-in-law, Joan Smith. Relatives and friends will be received in the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME , 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. The Rev.
