SPEIRS, Don - Passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock in his 83rd year. Predeceased by his first wife Carol Anne Speirs (nee Almost) (January 17, 1983). Beloved husband of Rose Speirs (nee Bryson) of Woodstock. Loving Dad of Deb Diehl (Mike) of Strathroy and Lynn Toth of Woodstock. Proud grandfather of Jeremy English, Terri-Lyn Trovato (Mike), Matthew Toth and Brittany Toth (Chris). Great grandpa of Jaxon English and Harper Kiertucki. Lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law Sharon Caines, Lyn Speirs and brother-in-law Dennis Almost. Also predeceased by his brother Allen Speirs. Don was the superintendent for the Woodstock Public Utiltiy Commission for 38 years, a member of the Navy Club and Oxford Fish and Game Club and was considered a good friend to many. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LEROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington St, North, Woodstock on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 for a visitation from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm. Interment will take place in the spring at the Presbyterian Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Oxford or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Smith-LeRoy 519-537-3611.
