JONCKHEERE, Alison Jane (Sutherland) - Peacefully, after a valiant struggle, with her family by her side, at the Sakura House, Woodstock, on Friday, December 16, 2011, Alison Jane (Sutherland) Jonckheere of R.R.5, Langton, in her 74th year. Born in Port Burwell, July 31, 1938, daughter of the late John and Edna (Wright) Sutherland. A lifelong resident of the area, a member of Trinity Anglican Church, Port Burwell, Vienna Lioness, Houghton Agricultural Society and the Tillsonburg Coin Club. Dear wife and best friend of 55 years to George Jonckheere. Loving mother of Jeanne Jonckheere of Aylmer, and Michael (Margaret) Jonckheere of R.R.5, Langton. Proud grandmother of three grandchildren: Alison, Bradley, Amber Jonckheere and one great-granddaughter Lydia Jane Jonckheere. Dear sister of Bill (Mary) Sutherland of Ilderton. Also survived by two sisters-in-law Joan Sutherland and Kay Ireland and a brother-in-law Bill Kipp and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by two brothers: Jack Sutherland and twin Orton Sutherland and three sisters: twins Barbara Henry and Betty Kipp, and Cathy McLeod. Members of Alison's family would like to thank Pat Todd and Lorna, nurses, PSW workers and volunteers at Sakura House for the very attentive and thoughtful care given to Alison. Resting at the VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOME, 262 Broadway St., Tillsonburg where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Adele Miles of Trinity Anglican Church, Port Burwell. Interment to follow in the Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Port Burwell.
